Use of MS Dynamics CRM in Utility Billing

Hello Friendz,

I was wondering if we can easily use Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 for 'Utility
Billing System and Print Presentment'. This also involves use of handheld
devices for reading meters and bill presentment.

In case you know about a better solution for this requirement, please share
that with me.

That depends on what you mean by "easily" ;-)
CRM out of the box will provide a great, flexible platform to quickly
develop a robust business solution. From what you've stated about your
requirements, it sounds like you would need to do quite a bit of custom
development. However, unless there is a pre-built application specific to
your industry that meets all of your needs, CRM can be a great option. Take a
look at this presentation for an idea of what CRM is capable of:

Thanks a lot Matt. Yes, I was looking at this presentation from Philips
blog.
I was looking at another solution till this morning and after looking at
what Invoke has done with Microsoft Dynamics, I feel more comfortable.

I have now decided to use Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 for this opportunity.
Thanks to Invoke for creating something like this which people normally
don't use MS CRM for and thanks to Matt and Philip for sharing this.
