How do I obtain information about how to provide our Reporting staff with
access to FilteredViews?
Do anyone knows where I can find security related information surrounding
FilteredViews?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Hi Terry,
The filtered views security is based on the user's network work logon
credential. The users will only able to see the records that they
owned or able to view through the filtered views.
If you want to provide your reporting staff to develop reports, just
share all of the record to your reporting staff (they need to be a CRm
user), they will have access to the records to the filteredv views.
or
create a SQL account, give them read access to the MSCRM database,
they can use the regular views to do their reports and then change
back to filteredviews prior deployment to prod.
Hope this will help.

Thank you very much.
However, where can I find technical/white papers or information about CRM
3.0 security overview?
